Your adventure commences in Quito, where a knowledgeable guide will escort you from your hotel and lead you southward along the Avenue of the Volcanoes—a term coined by the esteemed explorer Alexander Von Humboldt, captivated by the vista of towering volcanoes that adorns this route. Our destination is the venerable Cotopaxi National Park, home to the towering Cotopaxi stratovolcano. Rising to an impressive height of 5,897 meters (19,347 feet), it ranks among the loftiest volcanoes on the globe. Within the park, we’ll traverse the slopes of this monumental natural wonder, uncovering the spectacular beauty ensconced within the páramo. Your guide will unveil the critical significance of this modest yet vital ecosystem and introduce you to its inhabitants, including the majestic Andean condor and the elusive páramo wolf, among others.
- Following our exploration, our travels take us to the enchanting city of Baños de Agua Santa celebrated for its mineral-rich thermal waters believed to offer relief for joint and bone ailments. After savoring a delicious, hearty breakfast, we’ll set out to uncover the breathtaking natural beauty that envelops Baños. Our adventure begins with a visit to the awe-inspiring Agoyan Dam, where we will marvel at the formidable power of water harnessed by this hydroelectric marvel. Following this, we’ll proceed to one of Baños’ most extraordinary attractions, El Pailón del Diablo (the Devil’s Cauldron). This remarkable waterfall, plunging approximately 80 meters (260 feet), unleashes a tremendous force, sending water cascading against the rocky enclosure, resulting in a thunderous roar. It stands as a testament to nature’s raw power and beauty, unmatched in its majesty.

Following a nourishing breakfast, we’ll venture southward until the sprawling expanse of Chimborazo National Park unfolds before us. Cradled by the gentle flow of four rivers and blessed with temperate weather, the city is a canvas of spectacular architecture and vibrant culture. Our tour promises an intimate exploration of Cuenca’s most iconic landmarks, lush parks, and sacred churches, promising to leave you spellbound by its regal beauty.
Our adventure begins at dawn in the city’s historic colonial quarter. Our first stop is the venerable Old Cathedral, an epitome of Cuenca’s colonial elegance and the very first tower erected in the city. We then meander through the verdant beauty of Calderon Park before marveling at the New Cathedral of Cuenca. Commissioned in 1885 to cater to the city’s burgeoning population, this architectural masterpiece showcases a fusion of Romanesque and Renaissance styles, notably distinguished by its iconic blue-tiled domes—a sight to behold.
In the afternoon, our exploration takes a unique turn to the Toquilla Straw Hat Museum, celebrating the origin and craftsmanship behind the world-renowned Panama hat. - Our day starts with the first light, as we set out for Cajas National Park. Nestled in the heart of the highlands, this stunning páramo is a critical water source for Ecuador, dotted with over 200 pristine lakes that cradle an abundance of freshwater. Here, amidst the serene beauty of the landscape, we’ll visit a hacienda turned private reserve, offering a glimpse into the astonishing natural splendor of the area.

Next, our adventure leads us to the Historical Park, a beautifully restored segment of old Guayaquil featuring several Republican-era buildings.
